Description
Product Overview:
SPGA-EDTA Solution is a suspending medium utilized for the extraction of cell-free viruses. It is a Sucrose-Phosphate-Glutamate-Albumin buffer containing ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA) utilized for the extraction and titration of Marek’s cell-free virus. Cell-free MDV propagates best in primary CK cell cultures; DEF’s are less susceptible than CK cells. Although cell-associated MDV propagates in most avian cell cultures tested, CK and DEF cells are used most commonly. The MDV is diluted in SPGA-EDTA buffer which enhances the virus titer several-fold over that with a standard diluent such as Phosphate-Buffered Saline (PBS).
